Here at the Institute we explore the boundaries of Virtual Reality and WebGL, and because of this we decided it wasn't really sensible to spend time adding server side rendering for the HTML.
There are no trackers, no adverts, no modal popups, no endless scrolling. There's about 100k of JS (gzipped) and it's only used to render HTML. Content comes from the server as markdown embedded inside JSON documents.
You're right to block the Javascript. There is no GPL licensed source and never will be. Enjoy your freedom!
